CATCHING & FIELDING COORDINATOR, HITTING INSTRUCTOR

A lifelong Cincinnati native and proud Westsider, Kory Klingenbeck grew up playing baseball in the Cincinnati community before attending Elder High School. Baseball has been a constant throughout his life, providing him with experiences, challenges, and relationships that have shaped who he is both on and off the field.

After high school, Klingenbeck continued his playing career at the junior-college level. After redshirting his first season, he returned the following year as an everyday starter and went on to earn Junior College All-American honors. His team also made a deep postseason run, advancing to the semifinals of the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.

That experience helped shape his approach to the game and taught him the importance of preparation, consistency, competing through adversity, and making the most of every opportunity.

Klingenbeck continued his career at the University of Cincinnati, where he played three seasons of Division I baseball. He competed in the American Athletic Conference before the program's transition to the Big 12 Conference. In 2025, he was part of a Cincinnati team that earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 and competed in the Knoxville Regional.

His playing career has given him firsthand experience at multiple levels of the game—and, perhaps more importantly, the understanding that development rarely happens in a straight line.

As a coach, he believes development goes far beyond mechanics. His goal is to teach young athletes how to practice with purpose, respond to failure, compete with confidence, become great teammates, and understand that preparation creates confidence.

His own journey is a testament to that philosophy. After sitting out an entire season, he worked his way into an everyday starting role, became a Junior College All-American, and ultimately earned the opportunity to play Division I baseball at Cincinnati and compete in the Big 12.

“Where you are today doesn’t determine where you can end up.”

That mindset is at the heart of his coaching philosophy.

Whether a player is working to make their high school team, pursuing the opportunity to play college baseball, or simply trying to become the best version of themselves, Coach Klingenbeck is committed to providing the guidance, knowledge, and confidence needed to help them move forward.

At Paradigm, he believes baseball is bigger than the game itself. The lessons learned through hard work, failure, accountability, teamwork, and perseverance last long after a player's playing days are over. His goal is simple: help young athletes become better baseball players while helping them become better people.
